VanMoof bikes are equipped with built-in tracking technology that activates when the bike is reported stolen. For enhanced features, Ride Pro offers in-app tracking and Bluetooth proximity tracking.
Additionally, all S5 & A5 bikes—and S3 & X3 models produced from April 2021 onward—support Apple Find My for everyday location tracking, even when the bike isn’t reported stolen.

1. Report & Activate
Open the VanMoof app → Settings → Theft Tracking. Tap Report stolen and follow the prompts. Tracking is now live and the bike is locked remotely.
Why report first?
Tracking only starts once the bike is marked as stolen.
2. Check the Location

3. Ride Pro (Advanced in-app tracking)
The Ride Pro subscription enhances your experience and provides everything you need to become your own Bike Hunter: in-app GPS map, Bluetooth proximity radar, last-seen alerts.

4. Apple Find My
In addition to our internal tracking system, VanMoof seamlessly integrates with Apple Find My for general location awareness. This feature allows you to locate your bike even when it's not reported stolen, providing a broader context for your bike's whereabouts.
Open Find My on your iPhone / iPad → Items. Select your VanMoof. View its location or play a sound.
Heads-up: Apple Find My does not replace VanMoof Theft Tracking.
If your bike is stolen, still report it in the VanMoof app to activate recovery.
5. What happens after you report a theft?
