Reservations

Reservations for the VanMoof S6

Reserve online for home delivery, or reserve at your local dealer for delivery and setup there.

With a €150 reservation, you secure a VanMoof S6 or S6 Open. Your reservation will be confirmed by email. You can only pay the reservation with a Credit Card or Paypal. Final payment can be done with all our payment methods.

Estimated delivery time is visible on the orderpage. The moment we have your delivery moment locked in, we will request final payment. The full order needs to be paid at least 28 days prior to delivery, 7 days before this, you will receive an email to pay the remaining amount. After full payment, the VanMoof will come your way as soon as possible. The sooner you pay for the full bike, the sooner it will be delivered.

When a bike is reserved at a local dealer, the remaining balance is typically paid at the time of pickup, depending on the agreement made with the dealer.

What’s the price of the VanMoof S6 & S6 Open? 

The VanMoof S6 & S6 Open costs €3298. A €150 reservation fee has been applied and will be subtracted from this total. Shipping costs, which depend on the delivery location and will be detailed in the final payment request email, will also be added to the final price.

In which countries can I reserve the S6 and S6 Open? 

We are currently taking reservations in The Netherlands, Germany, France, and Belgium. You can reserve online, or at one of our partners. 

Can I reserve a VanMoof S6 & S6 Open in the UK or US? 

Unfortunately not yet. We are actively working to begin selling the VanMoof S6 & S6 Open in the UK and anticipate this will start before the end of the year, with bikes expected to be on the road in Q4.

Delivery

Why are there reservations and multiple delivery moments?

Due to high demand and limited supply of our new model, we are now accepting reservations to secure your VanMoof. Reservations will be fulfilled in order of placement and depending on the type of bike and the moment you pay the remaining balance. The estimated delivery month is listed below.

When will the bike be delivered?

The delivery month shown at the time of order is an accurate estimate based on production. Delivery times may shift slightly - either earlier or later - and you’ll be notified if any changes occur. 

The table below contains estimated delivery dates and will be updated regularly:

How do I get notified about delivery?

You will receive regular updates about production in the upcoming weeks. The moment we have your delivery moment locked in, we will request final payment over email (around 35 days prior to delivery). 

The full order needs to be paid at least 28 days prior to delivery and you will receive regular reminders. After full payment is received, your order is confirmed, and you have secured your spot in the queue for your bike to be delivered on the scheduled delivery date.

The sooner you pay for the full bike, the sooner it will be delivered. Once your bike is ready to be shipped, you will receive a tracking link for you to track the delivery. 

Can I change the delivery address on my reservation?

Unfortunately, this is not possible. To change the delivery address after an order is placed, you will need to cancel your current order and create a new one. This policy is in place to prevent credit card fraud.

What happens in case of a delay?

All delivery dates shared in this FAQ are estimations. Accurate delivery dates will be shared when we request final payment.

In the unlikely event of a delay, we will request final payment when we narrowed down a new delivery date. If you have already paid in full and the delay shipping happens after that, we will reach out to you and discuss the new estimated delivery window.

When do I receive a message about delivery? 

Approximately 4 weeks before your new VanMoof arrives, you will receive an email with more information about your order.

Orders & Cancellations

Steps to cancel your reservation:

  1. Click in the order confirmation in your email on 'View your order'. Alternatively, you can login on orders.vanmoof.com.
  2. Click 'Manage Order' and scroll down to click 'Cancel'. 
  3. You will receive an email from our Reservations platform. Confirm the cancellation in your email. 
  4. You immediately refunded, but it can take up to 24 hours to be visible on your account. 

Note: Please remember that cancelling your reservation will result in losing your spot in the queue. Remember that you can only use the cancellation button on an order with your reservation - cancelling does not work for accessory or bike orders. 

Can I change the color or model of my reservation?

No, when reserving a bike, we reserve a spot for you in the production queue. This means that your spot is locked in and your reservation is final for the bike and color. Your only option is to cancel your reservation for the model and color and place another order. 

Can I order accessories with my reservation? 

Yes. You can add accessories to your reservation. Payment for these accessories will be requested when the final bike payment is due. Following payment and bike delivery, the accessories will be shipped as quickly as possible, after receiving your new bike. 

Can I cancel my reservation?

If you ordered a VanMoof S6 or S6 Open and wish to cancel your reservation, you may do so at any time until full payment is made. However, please be aware that canceling will result in the loss of your position in the order queue, even if you decide to re-order. 

NOTE: Please remember that you will lose your spot in the queue at cancellation. 

When will I receive the refund of my cancelled reservation? 

Usually you will see your refund immediately, but it can take up to 24 hours to be visible in your account. When you cancel through our support team, you will receive your refund within 14-days after cancelling. 

What happens to the bikes in cancelled orders?

Lucky you - Cancellations can lead to earlier delivery. We maintain the original reservation order, so if someone cancels, their spot is automatically filled by the next reservation in line.

I want to order bikes for my company - is there a limit to the number of reservations? 

You can reserve an unlimited number of bikes for EUR 150 per bike.

Payments & Promotions

What are the payment methods for the reservation and final payment? 

Reservation can only be paid with Credit Card & Paypal. The remainder can be paid with any of our regular payment methods.

Theft Proof Promotion is 1 year for free, but can I get 2 or 3 years?

Yes! If you use the promotion code at checkout, your S6 and S6 Open comes with a 1 year Theft Proof service for free, worth €150. Want more protection? You can use the €150 discount towards a 2-year or 3-year plan to keep your ride protected even longer.

Use discount code: "RIDESECURE" at checkout for a €150 discount on the amount of years of your choice. The Theft Proof promotion can’t be combined with other promotions. The code can't be applied retroactively.

Forgot to add the code? Please reach out to our Support Team and let them know how many years Theft Proof you want to order. 

Can I apply my €1000 Undelivered Bike Gesture Code to this reservation?

Yes, please apply the discount code in the checkout of your reservation order. The gesture code can’t be combined with other promotions like the Theft Proof promo. The discount will be deducted from the total amount at final payment. 

Can I buy Theft Proof when the bike is delivered? 

Yes! Once your bike is delivered, you can order Theft Proof within 14-days after delivery. Leave the BikeID of your brand new VanMoof in a field at checkout, and we'll automatically connect Theft Proof to your account. 

Note: The 1-year free Theft Proof promotion code only works during your reservation. This can't be applied at delivery. 

When do I need to pay the remainder?

The moment we have your delivery date locked in, we will request final payment over email (around 35 days prior to delivery).

Reservation A €150 reservation fee applies, beginning with early access on June 10 and public launch on June 11.
35 days before delivery A final payment notification will be sent to you. Please ensure that the full amount is paid within 7 days of receiving this request.
28 days before delivery To proceed with your scheduled delivery as planned, please ensure that your invoice is paid in full 28 days before delivery.
1 day before delivery You will receive a tracking link from our shipping partner to track your delivery. 
Delivery Ride Like No Other.
Accessories Any accessories ordered in the same order will be released and delivered within 7 days of receiving your bike. You will receive a tracking a day before delivery.

Note: Final payment will be requested once your new 6-series arrives at the port. After that, it takes 28 days for quality checks before delivering the bike to your doorstep.

What happens if I don’t pay in time for delivery? 

When you don’t pay in time and the payment in our payment request becomes due, your reservation will be put on hold and you will lose your initial spot in the queue. We will send a reminder to pay the open order. 

In addition, 7 days after the payment has become due, we reserve the right to (partially) cancel your order. Please get in touch with us about next steps. Don’t worry - if you pay the full amount of your order, we can still deliver your bike in one of the later batches. 

Partners & Test Rides

Can I reserve a VanMoof 6-series at any local partner?

Yes, from June 11 onwards, reservations at partners are possible. Partners that don’t have a test bike available can make a reservation as well. Final payment needs to be done at our partner, once they have delivery of your bike. 

You can reserve your VanMoof S6 & S6 Open through any of our listed Sales Partners, as they all have access to our reservation system. To experience the bike before reserving, locate a partner offering test rides and take it for a spin. Reserving through a partner will also secure your place in the queue.

Can I test ride the 6-series?

Yes, we will deliver a first batch of 6-series to selected partners in July. More partners will follow in the weeks after. Please keep an eye on our Help Center for location info and sign up to our newsletter for first info about test-ride locations.

Can I trade in my VanMoof for a discount on the 6-series?

No - we don’t offer trade-ins. Please consult one of the local partners for a trade-in offer. Some of our partners have general trade-in deals.
