Have you ever wondered how much your rides add to your weekly fitness goals? Well, now you’ll know for sure. Ride Pro allows you to seamlessly sync your rides with Apple Health or Google Health Connect. Your VanMoof rides will show up in the Health apps and in turn other apps can use this fitness data. The following metrics are available for VanMoof rides:
- Start and end time
- Ride duration
- Distance
- Calories (soon on VanMoof S5 & A5)
Before your rides are synced, you need to set up the integration.
How to set up Apple Health (iOS)
- Go to your Ride settings in the VanMoof garage.
- Scroll to ‘Integrations’, then ‘Apple Health’. Go ahead and tap on ‘Set up’.
- Tap on ‘Sync Health data’, this will open the Health permission screen.
- Select ‘Turn on all’ to sync all ride data. Then tap on ‘Allow’ to finish setting up.
- Now your rides will be automatically synchronised between the VanMoof app and the Health app.
If the setup failed:
- Open the Health app
- Go to your profile
- Select ‘Apps and Services’ and then ‘VanMoof’
- Tap on ‘Turn on all’
How to set up Google Health Connect (Android)
- You must have Ride Pro activated.
- Then go to the garage.
- Click on the profile icon in the top right corner.
- Scroll down to Integrations part
- Click on Set up and follow the steps based on the platform and selected tool selected
If setup failed:
Open the Google Health Connect page, click on Sync Health Data. Then click on Allow all and click on Allow in the bottom right corner. Check if all permissions are given and restart the set up process.
Troubleshooting:
When ride tracking is activated in the VanMoof app, and after a ride longer than 100 metres +, your app is connected to the bike via Bluetooth, the VanMoof integration will create a new ride. It could take some time to generate the new ride, so give it a few minutes.
As soon as a new ride is created by the VanMoof app, we synchronise all ride data with your Health app (Apple Health or Google Health Connect).
