What is Ride Pro

Available for VanMoof S5 and A5 soon.

The VanMoof S5 & A5 Ride Pro extensive feature set is still under development, but we promise you - it's worth the wait. We are aiming to launch this winter season. Keep your app up-to-date to find out exactly when.

Ride Pro is our new subscription. Its advanced features like theft tracking, remote notifications and health app integrations enhance your ride in every way. Ride Pro isn't just a subscription: it’s a Bike Extension that elevates your VanMoof itself. 

Ride Pro is available to all VanMoof riders – whether you ride a smart bike or the latest S5 or A5. Ride Pro gives you access to In-app location tracking. So, if your bike is ever lost or stolen, you can hunt it down with exclusive Bike Hunting features. Ride Pro integrates with Apple Health or Health Connect, so you can synchronise your rides to your fitness apps and track your progress. If you ride a VanMoof S5 or A5, you'll also be able to set instant remote notifications on your ride's battery level and Kick Lock status, so you’ll always be in the loop with need-to-know bike data. The features available to you via Ride Pro may be different depending to which bike you choose to upgrade. See more below. 

Subscription

Ride Pro is a paid subscription for advanced bike features that go beyond what’s always included with your VanMoof. For free users, the app will not change – and they can keep using all the features they’re used to. Ride Pro upgrades a specific bike. If you have multiple bikes, you’ll need to buy a separate subscription for each.

Note that only owners of a bike can upgrade their bike to Ride Pro. Guest riders do have access to all the Ride Pro features once Ride Pro has been activated. Subscriptions are non-transferable between accounts. If you change the owner of the bike, the new owner needs to purchase a Ride Pro subscription.

Ride Pro gives you access to these features:

Theft tracking
Track your bike's location if it's ever lost or stolen with exclusive in-app Bike Hunting features. See your bike’s location inside the app. When nearby use the Bluetooth scanner to localise it with dedicated features.

Remote notifications
Get instant notifications when the alarm is activated on your bike. 

Or get notified on your ride's battery level and security status, and remotely monitor both. (Only available for the VanMoof S5 or A5).

Health app integration
Boost your fitness journey and sync your ride with Apple Health or Health Connect.

FAQs

What’s the difference between Ride Pro and Theft Proof?
Theft Proof is our service that guarantees we'll replace your bike if it's ever stolen. With Theft Proof, our Bike Hunters will track down your bike if it's stolen. If they can't find it within 14 days, we'll replace it. With Ride Pro, you’ll get access to exclusive Bike Hunting features yourself. You'll receive an alert if your alarms are triggered, and be able to use our theft tracking tools to get it back yourself. To sum it up: with Theft Proof we got your back, with Ride Pro you become your own bike hunter. 

Can I use Theft tracking as a free user?
VanMoof S3 & X3, and older, still get their tracking links via email once the bike is reported stolen. This will not change. Accuracy and reaction times are unfortunately a lot less than tracking your bike with Ride Pro in the VanMoof app. Please note that there’s a 14-day free trial available to try the accuracy of Ride Pro. 

Every VanMoof S5 & A5 (and newer) will only be able to track the bike more accurately with a Ride Pro subscription. Note that there’s a free trial and monthly plan available for Ride Pro. Without a subscription, you can still disable your bike remotely, making your bike unusable.

Do you offer Ride Pro on VanMoof S3 & X3 or older?
Yes, you can subscribe to Ride Pro whatever model you ride. Find an overview on the features we offer in the feature overview section.
