VanMoof introduces Repair Mode; an in-App feature designed to facilitate secure handover of your bike to a VanMoof partner for repair services across all VanMoof bike models.
How to use the VanMoof Repair Mode?
To activate Repair Mode, you will need the following:
- VanMoof App: Ensure you have the VanMoof app (24.1 or higher) installed on your device.
- Ownership or Guest Rider Access: You must be either the owner of the bike or a guest rider.
Start Repair Mode
- Scan the QR code: The Service Partner will provide a QR code for you to scan with your camera app or dedicated QR Code Scanning app.
- Enable Repair Mode: Scanning the QR code will open the VanMoof app and the repair mode for the selected bike. Click Enable Repair Mode to give the service partner access to your bike.
End Repair Mode
CAUTION: Only end Repair Mode once your bike service is completed by the partner. The partner will lose access to your bike, which will impact their ability to service it.
- Open the VanMoof App and go to the Garage: Navigate to the bike that you want to pick up from service.
- End Repair Mode: Click end repair mode. Your bike is good to go.

Errors
What? | Why? | Solution |
I can't activate repair mode. It's already linked. | For security reasons, you can only be linked to 1 service partner simultaneously. | Click the 'End Repair Mode' button and initiate again. |
I have trouble scanning the QR code or receiving the link from the Service Partner. | Camera Access for the VanMoof app is blocked. |

I can't access my bike anymore? | Once repair mode is activated, the app disconnects from your bike to avoid interference with the Service Partner. | This is intentional. End repair mode to regain control of your bike. |
I accidentally ended the repair mode. | If Repair Mode is accidentally ended while your bike is being serviced, you can re-activate sharing with the partner by scanning their QR code remotely or clicking on the invite link provided by the workshop remotely. |
