How to use Theft Proof?

If you have Theft Proof purchased and your bike is stolen, please file a police report and use the VanMoof Theft Proof option on our contact form to submit it. We require an official police report with the following information:

  1. The bike needs to be reported stolen in the app.
  2. A document file of the official police report, containing:
    • Details of the reporting person
    • Date of report
    • Crime Reference Number
    • Bike ID or Frame Number

Once the tracking is activated and we have received the police report, our bike hunters will get to work. 

What happens when I use my Theft Proof?

VanMoof Theft Proof is a one-time service linked to your specific bike, not to your account or customer profile. This means that if your bike is replaced through the Theft Proof program, the service is considered used for that bike. When your bike is recovered, Theft Proof will still be valid until it expires.
If your bike is replaced through Theft Proof and you want coverage for the new bike, you will need to purchase Theft Proof again for the replacement. Your previous Theft Proof purchase does not automatically cover the new bike.
