Q: What happened to VanMoof USA, Inc.?

A: As part of the 2023 bankruptcy proceedings of the old VanMoof, VanMoof USA, Inc. is no longer in operation and the company's assets are being liquidated by an independent assignee, BWY ABC II, LLC.

We’re currently in the process of taking over certain US operations – just as we’ve achieved successfully in Europe with our new network of service and sales partners. As of March 2023, all US-based VanMoof subscriptions were transferred to the e-bike subscription and fleet management company, Rybit and we’ve been working closely with them to provide spare parts to service all VanMoof bikes. Q: I believe I have a claim against VanMoof USA, Inc. What should I do?
A: If you believe you have a claim against VanMoof’s US-based entity, you should file it by January 8, 2025. If you fail to submit your claim by the deadline, your claim won’t be part of any distribution of proceeds from the liquidation.


Q: How do I file a claim?

A: You need to submit a proof of claim form. This form can be sent by post or email to:

Q: What's the deadline for filing a claim?
A: All claims should be submitted by January 8, 2025. Please note if you fail to submit your claim by this date, your claim won’t be part of any distribution of proceeds from the liquidation.


Q: Will I definitely receive payment if I file a claim?

A: No, the assignee will liquidate the assets and independently assess all of the claims made before confirming any payments. 

 

Q: Can I receive an immediate payment for debts that are dated from before this ABC-proceedings?
A: No, at this time, the assignment estate is not permitted to pay debts of unsecured creditors that are dated from before the ABC-proceedings. You must submit a claim and wait for the liquidation process to be completed.
