The new VanMoof — bought by McLaren Applied in September 2023 — is a new and different company to the old VanMoof. It does not have access to the bikes or the money riders paid for them. However, although we're a new and different entity, it's our goal to do everything we can to support those affected and to get you riding.
To avoid the mistakes of the past and to support our riders for decades to come, it's crucial we build a sustainable business from day one. To support our riders in the short term and well into the future, we've built a partner network of service locations; supplied them with a steady stream of spare parts; built on our software architecture; improved quality checks and safety standards; re-engineered key parts and refined our most advanced model - the VanMoof S5 & A5.
This initiative by the new VanMoof is in addition to, and does not replace, any separate bankruptcy claims process you might have and we encourage you to continue with that process. While we are aware that this gesture does not constitute a full resolution on its own, we hope it makes a difference.
