How do I report my bike stolen?

Please report your bike missing in your VanMoof App, this activates the tracking on your VanMoof. 

How to report your bike stolen? 

1. Open your VanMoof app and go to Settings.
2. Scroll down and select 'Theft Tracking.'
3. If Ride Pro is activated, agree to location sharing and proceed. If you don’t have Ride Pro, you have two options:

  • Start a 14-day free trial to receive advanced location tracking in your app.
  • Disable your bike remotely. This will activate the alarm and disable your bike as part of our pre-Ride Pro anti-theft solution.

How to activate Theft Proof?

After reporting your bike as stolen, please file a police report and use the VanMoof Theft Proof option on our contact form to submit it. Once the tracking is activated and we have received the police report, our bike hunters will get to work. 

What happens when my bike gets stolen?

If your bicycle has been stolen and you have VanMoof Theft Proof, please follow these steps to initiate the recovery process. Once notified, our Bike Hunter team will spring into action, aiming to locate and retrieve your bike within 14 days. Should we be unable to recover your bike within this timeframe, we will replace your bike with another of similar mileage and quality.
