Does my VanMoof support Apple Find My?
VanMoof S3 & X3s ordered from April 7th, 2021 will be compatible with the Apple Find My network. You can recognize it from the Apple Find My badge on the bottom of the top tube of your bike. Because Find My technology requires hardware and software updates that can only be completed in our production facilities, it's unfortunately not possible to purchase the feature for older models.
How can I connect my VanMoof to Apple Find My?
You can add your VanMoof to the Find My app and the Find My network if your VanMoof supports the technology.
You can pair your VanMoof with the Find My app on your iPhone or iPad in a few simple steps:
Step 1
- Open your VanMoof app and log in, if you haven't already. Make sure your VanMoof is unlocked and running on the latest firmware.
Step 2
- Please close the VanMoof App. Please ensure that the VanMoof App is fully closed and not running in the background to successfully add Apple Find My.
Step 3
- Open the Find My app on your iOS device and tap on the ‘Items’ tab. Tap the ‘Add item’ button and quickly press the power button on the bottom of the top tube twice.
Step 4
- You’ll hear a twinkling sound* and see an animation on the Matrix Display as your VanMoof connects to the Find My network. You will need to be using an iPhone with iOS 14.3 or later, an iPad with iPadOS 14.3 or later, or a Mac with Big Sur macOS 11.1 or later.
*If the twinkling sound does not start, please reset Find My by pressing the power button 5 times.
Step 5
- When your VanMoof is discovered, tap ‘Connect’ and follow the instructions.
How can I remove my VanMoof from Apple Find My?
You can remove your VanMoof from the Find My network via the Find My app.
Remove your VanMoof using the Find My app in a few steps:
Step 1
- When connected to the VanMoof, open Find My and select your VanMoof. Scroll to the bottom and tap ‘Remove item.’
Step 2
- On the next screen, tap ‘Remove’ and then ‘Confirm’. Your VanMoof will no longer be displayed under ‘Items’.
How can I temporarily disable my VanMoof's Apple Find My tracking?
You can temporarily disable Apple Find My tracking without removing your VanMoof from the Find My network. To do this, make sure the VanMoof is unlocked and quickly double-press the power button.
You’ll hear a sound that signals the setting is deactivated. When Find My technology is disabled, your VanMoof's location will not update, and you won’t be able to use the ‘Play Sound’ function in the Find My app.
Double-press again to enable Find My technology. You’ll hear a slightly different sound to signal that the setting is activated.
